Ron da Silva is an executive leader, international board member, advisor, and internet technology expert. He brings extensive experience leading network engineering & architecture, operations, security, broadband technologies, cloud, and data center infrastructure. With over thirty (30+) years of proven business experience, culminating in senior executive leadership, Ron is an NACD-certified Board Director with extensive corporate and internet governance experience.

He serves on the Boards of Chartway and CertifiedTrue, is a Communications Commissioner for Loudoun County, Virginia, maintains a consulting practice, Network Technologies Global, and is an advisor with Saras Partners. Previously, Ron was a Board member of ICANN, Board Member of the Data Center Coalition, Vice President of Operations for Quantum Loophole, Executive Director with Denuo, CIO, and Co­ Founder of CertifiedTrue, and various leadership and engineering roles with Charter, Time Warner Cable, American Online and Sprint. He holds a Bachelor of Science in applied mathematics and English from Old Dominion University.

Ron is well known in the internet service provider, telecommunications, and cable industries and is very active in various industry organizations. He is a current or prior member and speaker of various industry organizations: MTC, NVTC, USA-IGF, IETF, ISOC, ARIN, NRO-NC/ASO-AC, NANOG, NAMIC, WICT, CableLabs, SCTE and NCTA.
